The Standing Seam
cladding system is one of the most versatile cladding systems available. It is
suitable for both roofs and facades, making it an ideal choice for challenging projects. The Standing Seam system is the most adaptable cladding profile lending
itself to flat, curved, concave, convex, conical and domed applications. It
inspires creative freedom, allowing architects and designers to share and
explore relationships with surrounding landscape and transcend the local
environment.
In all architectural projects it’s a combination of both form and function and we choose between
what we show and what we hide. The Standing Seam cladding system not only
catches the eye but it’s subtle play of shadows and response to light can
reflect the mood and ambiance of the building envelope.
The streamline low
height of the seams (25 mm and 38 mm) contributes to its architectural design and
offers flexibility when working on more complex designs and structures. With a
taut and regular appearance it is particularly suitable for very large cladding
surfaces and for structures located in regions of harsh climate, which are
often subject to coastal spray, snowfall, strong winds, and heavy rain.
The Standing Seam
system requires two panel seams (male and female) to lap each other. It is laid
on a continuous decking, each panel is secured with concealed clips spaced
approximately 300mm apart (sliding and fixed clips are used for expansion and
contraction reasons - see installation manual.) Each panel is crimped securely
together with the use of special tools.
Standing Seam
Cladding is one of the easiest systems to use when challenged with multiple
windows, doors and complex shapes. The detailed arrangements required to
integrate from flashing to panel is made all the more easy by choosing the
Standing Seam system. This integration needs to be seamless otherwise it can
detract from the entire project aesthetic.
Standing Seam panels
are rolled formed and can be adjusted to suit between windows and door ways.
The unique ability unlike other conventional cladding profiles whereby altering
the pan width (large or smaller) to suit project needs.
The Standing Seam
Cladding range is available in most finishes, VM Zinc, Colorbond, Aluminium,
Copper and Corten offering greater design flexibility.
